i have some linnen brown trousers, however the first time i wore them i spilt milton (sterlising solution) on them and now theres loads of white splashes on the legs. Does anyone have a good way of restoring the coulor, i cant were them for work in the stat there in even if i did mess them up there,
My mam suggested couloring it in with felt tips, that meas each splodge would need coulored in after each time i washed them and sometimes for work i wear the trousers one day and the kids have me in a right mess so i cant wear them again with out washing.
I've dyed linen trousers with Dylon liquid machine wash and the dry dye. Both turn out fine but I've just been restoring black trousers which have faded. What have you got to lose other than the price of the dye (under 5, cheapest in Wilkinsons)?
If the dying does not work...
(I think some patches might still show afterwards)
Why don't you try and splash the rest of the trousers, and pretend that's the way it was supposed to be?
I am so sorry to hear that your trousers are, in fact, dying. You might say they are on their last legs....
Sorry. Try Dylon. It'll only take an hour or so, the same as your ordinary wash.
Apologies for the sarcasm, it's been a funny old week on here.
