.... I expect you remember Barry Palmer the blonde sexy saxophonist, I had such a crush on him. Sadly, he moved to America....
So did the drummer Bob (cant remember his surname), he moved in with Martha Reeves, but quickly moved back again as she found 'Religion' in the totally American way. lol

Blimey 1976 ..I had been married for four years ..James Callaghan was PM ..I think ! We lived in Germany then and it was all Bader Meinhof ...Ulrike Meinhof had hanged herself in prison .
The Ramones .....wow ! Bohemian Rhapsody .You Sexy Thing,( and Errol Brown was soooo sexy ) Golden Years and Thin Lizzy .
I remember coming home to see my Mum and there was a heatwave ..drought conditions and we had just spent loadsa money on a holiday in Majorca ! It was still expensive to go abroad then compared to now .
I was young and and slim and wore hippy hats and crocheted wispy things, long skirts and cheeseycloth things.Must do a bit of trumpet blowing and say I had hair down to my waist and loads of black mascara .... but things were turning punky ....mass cultural mutiny !

Question Author
I lived in cheesecloth in 1976!!!!!!!!!!!!! smock tops and straight cut denim, platform shoes of every colour but mainly white patent, and to go out at night posh it was a long dress from dotty p's lol
Oooh Dotty P'S ... those were days ...I don't expect you remember Chelsea Girl though Dot and Biba ..you are much younger than me !
1976 for Leader of the Pack, Miss Random? Musta been the rererelease. It was also around in 1964, which was one of my better years. Otherwise 1995, when for five years I got the job of my life <deep sigh>.
Question Author
I used to go into Biba in Liverpool, alot!!!!!!! I used their foundation back then, very translucent it was and natural! and chelsea girl, we had one in liverpool too!
Oh cripes Jno do you have to remind me of The Shangri-Las!
This year's been a good one for me. Leaving my job of the last 3 years in January and stuff is falling into place that I'm dead excited about. Had a really fun summer this year too.
Once upon a time, there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours,
Think of all the great things we would do.....

And that's going back a bit !
