How lovely is it when someone's nice to you?

I was travelling from my parents' house to the train station today (quite a distance) with a case and my dog.

A lady getting on the bus took my case on for me, as she saw my hands were full. A lady getting off at the same stop asked if it was my case, and offered to take it off for me, before wishing me well on my journey.

Why aren't more people nice?! And doesn't it make you smile when people are...Sometimes it's worth all the other cr*p just for those moments. x

Unfortunately there are some really nice people out there but nowadays some people are just too scared to be nice, If that lady took a persons bag off that wasnt away they were helping they might have a right go, or just nice old men smiling at your children nowadays would be seen as 'get away you peodo' Its a shame people cant just all be lovely without people thinking the worst.

4get, you are right as ever love.

I am a nice person, I do nice things for people for no reason other than I like to. But it's rare to get even a "thank you" for letting someone past you, holding doors etc. All the little things that build up to one great big annoyance for me! x
The other day a person I met on here bid on a dress for me on ebay that they knew I had been watching (that'll learn 'em to ask what I'm up to) because I couldn't get online at the time and it was about to go. And then just laughed at me when I wasn't sure whether to be futrious with them or not!

Not only a random act of kindness but a relatively high tolerence level too :c)
Do what I do if you open the door for someone or let them oast you in supermarket and they dont say thank you shout at the top of your voice THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does make you feel ever so good when you do something nice though :-)
I was after my nephews Xmas present for ages, it had sold out everywhere, I saw some lady selling loads on Ebay and I thought Id ask if I could have it for certain price and collect it. She said fine then she realised where I lived said she was coming over around xmas and said shed bring it to me and she didnt even know me. After that we stay in touch.
I still remember how hard it was trying to get about when the wee one was in the buggy, getting through doors, onto buses, up stairs etc, and very few people offered any help. Now i always make a point of helping.

My wee boy is only 5 but he puts a smile on everyones face, he always says goodmorning to everone he meets, and on the run up to christmas he would greet folk with a merry christmas. lol

At the farm shop today. I went in and bought my meat and saw the free range chicken breasts and asked the butcher what they do with the rest of the chicken. He said they use the meat for the pies and make chicken stock with the rest. I said he should do some thighs sometimes, and then he gave me 8 boneless free range chicken thighs for nothing.
I was being held up in the garage by someone who was trying to pay but her cedit card was withdrawn - they took all her details and she promised to be back with the money in two hours (or else they would report it).
When I got to the front of the queue I paid it for her just so she would get a nice surprise (if) when she came back.

China, that's lovely :) Warms yer heart, eh?!
4get, that's nice too. An believe me, I make a point of letting people like that know what I think when they brush past as if I don't exist!
Louisa, karma eh! Your little one sounds a right charmer :)
Goodsoulette, result! What will you make with them? And what a lovely butcher!
Quoi, that's a kind thing to do :)

Im gonna fill them with chestut stuffing and wrap them in streaky backon but not eat it myself. I'll use them at the weekend when my friends come over and save one for my nan. It was a result indeed, but I do go there a lot. Hopefully he'll bung me a few next time I go too.
I always try to to my best to help anyone whichever way I can. And I believe in Karma ...

Three days ago I bought a pendant of a saint for one of my brothers from eBay as a present. ( I actually won the auction.) Then I felt guilty to give only one brother and not both. I emailed the seller and asked if by chance she had another one, and my reason for wanting it. She was so kind - she said I will send you another one for free. This insident restored my belief that there are still nice and kind people about.
