Despite saying that such and such is "alleged" or that "some people are saying" that so and so should be hanged/fined/have their lottery winnings confiscated/crowned/knighted the AB Ed removes anything remotely topical or newsworthy, hiding behind the principle of "sub judice" that is, under or destined to be under the consideration of a judge or court and therefore prohibited from public discussion.

I thi8nk Hippy's response is essentially correct, although perhaps a little harsh. i don't think it's in the Ed's and the Site's interest to remove anything simply because it is newsworthy or contentious, but I know that the previous site owners had access to legal advice, which they followed, and it is logical that the new owners do the same, and they simply avoid potential complications.
You're right, Andy. Not always just because a question is topical or newsworthy. I was smarting after my carefully crafted question containing much weasel wriggling of terminology so as avoid accusing anyone of anything or inviting others to do so, yet asking for information on a topical matter was removed. C'est la vie!
Hello IndieSinger - not it wasn't me. Despite having written numerous articles for specialist musician magazines, including 'Guutar' - the recent Ash feature was mine, I don't know one end of a guitar from another! Likewise, having written six cover features for 'Drummer' magazine, I have never played drums in my life. I know what a tablature is, like I know what nuclear fission is, but that's as far as I go. Apologies to Senga-Marie for using your Question to post my answer - thanks.
