Does anybody have a ghost in their house? I havn't seen one in my house but someone else has. I often feel like there is somebody there and the dog often just barks at thin air! Is it true that some people can see ghosts and others cant regardless whether they believe or not?

Ghosts do not exist.
Some people, especially those with "religion" say you're foolish for saying that you've seen a ghost. However, no amount of persuasion, righteousness, or logicality will shift that experience. Even if the sighting was not a scary one it is still an extremely strong experience, never to be forgotten. I doubt if ghosts (now here I'm presuming they exist) care whether we believe in them or not. I doubt if the ghosts interact with us at all other than those "accidental" sightings. I expect some people are more susceptible to ghost sightings just as some people are more able to understand Maths than others.

I don't think it's a matter of whether you believe in ghosts or not, more whether you are open minded about such things. A friend of mine owns a barn in France which has had children spotting ghosts and the one room in the barn is particularly cold and damp no matter what time of year. When I stayed there though I didn't see or "feel" anything except the cold room.
Ghosts or not, my dear old Mum used to say: 'The dead can't hurt you, but the living can'. That's it folks!
I reckon I saw one when I was a kid, a lady all in black, cloak with a hood passed me in the street and turned the corner. I had an inexplicable urge to go back seconds after to see if she was there, I got round the corner and she had vanished and there was nowhere she could have gone! Also during WW2, an old neighbour of my family's had a knock on the door in the early hours - she opened the door and her husband was stood there, dripping wet, she let him in and after closing the door he had vanished. The next morning she had a telegram saying her husband's submarine had been destroyed, all lives lost. I guess he was just saying goodbye! I believe that kids are more likely to see ghosts because their third eye is still soft prior to puberty.

Could you please elaborate on your last sentence country_boy? It made interesting reading until then!
Spirits exsist. I've seen them, my brother saw them and the types of apparitions seen was confirmed by another person on a kid's TV show called ZOOM PBS, a girl named Trish confirmed my sighting. My brother and I were children at the time. Nobody believed our story. You may write me to question at [Email address removed as per site policy. - AB Editor]

I not really positive if I have seen a ghost or not. When I was about 6 two really weird things happened. I used to be afraid of the 'monsters and ghouls!' that came out at night. And one night (I remember this very clearly) I was lying in bed and then suddenly a light 'went on' in my room. I was so scared I hid under the covers all night with my eyes wide open, even when the light went off. The other thing was when I went to Morton hall in Bury St Edmunds. It was summer so nobody was dressed in costumes like that normally are. But we went past this lady in the who was dressed in a maids costume. It was a old building so when you put your foot on the floor it echos and there was hardly anyone there. We walked past the lady looking @ her costume. Her feet were echoing aswell but as she went round the corner her footsteps vanished and so did she. We old the owner of the hall and he said we were not the first! But if your dog is barking into mid air s/he probably can not see it but s/he can sense it. I think definately think some people just don't sense them so don't see them?
DOB and Smudge don't have that kind sense!

"For the Believer- No Proof is Necessary. For The Non-Believer - No Proof is Possible"

I dont feel ppl R qualified to answer this unless they have had a 100% personal experience with the "Paranormal".Not all things unexplainable are "Ghosts" they are Paranormal however.

Paranormal means "Beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation".

I, however am a 100% believer,I had an experience with the paranormal when 16 which really spooked me,but looking back on it I'm kinda glad of the experience as there are a lot of ppl out thee who'll never experience something like this in their entire lives.
