I want to translate into Romanian, but that doesn't matter. I looked it up and it appeared as both uneven(like a hill) or unkempt, so i wasn't very sure. Thank u
behind it were rambling grounds with very old gravestones leaning in the grass

In front of me {it} the timeworn (long forgotten) building (church, chapel, abbey) shielded an overgrown churchyard swathed in a sea of unkempt grass swaying in the gentle breeze, through which could be discerned the higgledy-piggeldy (confused, disorderly) remains of old gravestones (memorials, tombstones).

Any help?
