Film the PIANIST

Does any one know in the Pianist (the film) about a person called dorota jurek (the woman who tried to save him after his escape in the Warsaw ghetto. Did she really exist or is she made up and after the war, what happened her. Also the Jewish police guard who saved him from the deportation but lets his family die, was he really a so called friend of the family and or did he really exist or was he made up for the film plus what happened to him after the war.
