does anyone know the value of commemorative coins eg the �5 queen mothers 80th birthday, �5 queen,s silver jubilee coin etc, i read recently the have a value of 25p does anyone know if thats true

That is not to say that a coin collector will not pay more but since the 1980 coin had over 9 million minted and the 1977 coin over 37 million, perhaps the market does not justify any appreciable increase in the value of those coins.

Glad someone here replied to a post about the 1965 churchill crown, I have 2 of these but 1 of them is gold in colour? it hasnt been sprayed or painted. Ive been in touch with a person who allegedly knows about coins, but he hasnt seen or heard of this one I have.The other 1 I have is the standard churchill one. All inscriptions, year etc are identical, Ive never seen it before, and was wondering if anyone else has? ive owned it for approx 30 years. anybody know about it or ideas? thanks
