I recently saw a plaque at Workington Harbour (Cumbria) commemorating the landing of Mary Queen of Scots in 1568 after her flight from Scotland.

Does anyone know what sort of planes were used in the 16th Century and which company she travelled with. Presume it was some sort of sea-plane????

Ummm... Its not the flying kind of flight! It refers to her escaping from scotland!

No planes in the 16th Century i'm afraid.

sorry...................I thought it was funny . !!!
Flight meaning the act of running away is completely unrelated to flight in the flap-your-wings sense, and comes from the Old English flyht, closely related to flee.

Maybe she drank redbull.

Ah, yes: a 'newbie' posing a humorous postulation! I thought the question contained an element of jocularity. Let's hope that all 'newbies' do not turn out to be as cantankerous as you; once they have gained their colors!
