It depends what creation legend you read - there are many creation stories in ancient Near Eastern Literature and in other cultures too around the world. The Bible just refers to Adam and Eve - no other woman. Although many accept this literally, there are also many who consider this to be an allegory. "Adam" in ancient Hebrew means "man" or "humankind" and "Eve" means "life".

Read Genesis; it's all there. Adam and Eve were cast out of heaven onto earth where they were to go forth and multiply and that they did. Beware of going to websites to get that info go to the GOOD BOOK!

Actually for a human group to reproduce and grow there must be at least 100 people say 50/50 or the chances of successful mating and production of offspring make it so that the group will die out.
