Gardyloo
I am from edinburgh and I wish to revive a (slightly different form) of gardyloo. Gardyloo was a cry given just before a bucket of 'waste' was hurled from a window in edinburgh before there was a decent sewerage system. What I want to do in essence is to do the same but with buckets of water.
Why ? I live on a main road close to a lot of pubs and clubs and late night drunkards make a lot of noise , sing , sometimes fight on their way home. I want to throw water over them .
The Question :- Is it illegal to throw a bucket of water over someone who is disturbing the peace ?

I believe that you could use "reasonable force" as part of citizen's arrest but chucking a bucket of water over someone would not constitue such. Furthermore it may not be possible to attempt a citizen's arrest as the offence (drunk and disorderly?) would not warrant it.
