spelling was pretty much the same, though you might sometimes see to-day and to-night rather than a single word as they are now.

words end in ise

the running order of a theatrical production would be a programme and it wouldn't have any of the modern meanings.


amazingly the people who were involved in revolutions were called revolutionists and not revolutionaries, which is a later word.
