Prostitutrion.
Do the men use/abuse the women ?
Or are the women infact using the men ?
Is it easier or harder than a 9to5 job?
Having watched the diaries of a call girl i know she was more in control and had a good lifestyle .
So opinions folks?
They do say its the oldest profession in the world

Doc as i said serious discussion.
this is a follow on from another thread .
so rather thanh argue can you comment constructively ?
if its not tooo difficult?
Yes 4get but are they the majority of prostitutes or just the bottom of the pile?
and are some escort s any better than those prostitutes?
ok theyre not drug addicts but thats immaterial prostitution is about the sale of sex by men or women , drug addicts or high class hookers / escorts .

Wasnt julia roberts a hooker/prostitute in pretty woman ?
But that seems to be viewed as a nice girly film ???
Also sara in leaving las vegas was a hooker too , who fell in love with nicolas cage .
As was alabama in true romance , granted clarence was her first trick , but are you less a prostitute if you sell sex once than if you sell it a 100 times i wonder ?
Seems its ok in movies but not in reality , yet arent the movies based on or a reflection of the society we live in ?

I think prostitution has many stratas, much like the society in which it operates.
At the top are women totally in control of their lives, making a lot of money, at the bottom are drug addicts being used and abused - and there is every permutation inbetween.
As to whether it is easier or harder than a 'day job' rather depends on the circumstances, and the attitude of the woman involved. If she is in control, and has a detached 'professional' approach, then fine, if she is deparate with nothing else to sell except herself, than that is a different concept entirely.
My personal vierw is that it should be legalised now.
Society doesn't have a choice about having prostitution - it is here to stay, the only choice is whether society adopts a degree of control, or not. Control means safety for the women involved, and specific areas where it can be carried out - industrial estates for example, which negates the problem of red light residential areas.
It is a contentious issue, but it is time we stopped being Victorian about it, and started looking at the realities involved.

I agree that prostitutes don't do it for fun, 4getmenot.
But not many of us do our jobs for fun.
I don't think that prostitutes are abused (I know sometimes they get badly abused, but they are not abused by customers who simply buy their services).
There is a market for that sort of service. So long as that market exists, girls will provide those services.
But there are lots of markets, which suppliers are willing to serve. For instance:
People who want to gamble
People who want to drink alcohol
People who want to buy fatty food for their children
Etc.
