Families of V-2 scientists at White Sands Missile Range

Been searching everywhere. Need to know where the families of the V-2 rocket scientists lived once they arrived in the US from December 1946 onwards. Did they live in White Sands Missile Range? (or WS Prooving Grounds as it was then). Or was there a local comunity/town outside the base?

There's a ton of info on the scientists and base but non on the families.

The scientists were accommodated at Fort Bliss, near El Paso, which is 45 miles north of the missile range. Von Braun was single, but returned to Germany from the US to marry in 1947, and brought his bride back to Fort Bliss.
