there was a cartoon on the bbc in the late 80's/early 90's. i think it was called city of gold, i never saw the last few episodes? can you buy it anywhere?

I am so glad I just saw this!!! I was having a conversation with my sister last week, trying to tell her about this cartonn which we watched religiously, but she couldnt remember it. Didnt it have some kind of giant golden bird in it? and it was on for what seemed like years. I'm so glad I didnt dream it all!
