Hi all,
My mum has just started chatting online to a guy from America. He says he's quite a senior guy in the US Army. I'm not so sure as to me his story sounds a bit to perfect for my liking, but my mum says that she has no reason not to believe him...fair enough i suppose, i just want to look out for my mum.
My question is.....is there any way of verifying that he is who he says he is without having to ask too many questions?
At the moment i cannot find sign of him online anywhere

thanks in advance

I can't answer your question but a friend of mine has met a man in the UK via Facebook (in the biblical sense, I think!) who said he was a police man. he told her loads of stories about arrests, showed her pics with police cars etc.

on Saturday she was chatting to one of his FB friends and discovered that the two men worked together.. with Network Rail.

be cautious!
sorry, I meant work together, now, on the railway. bless!

Be very careful my friend was informed by the state police somewhere in the states about a chap that she had made friends with, it turns out that this guy had so many flings in america and was trying his luck in the uk,he was taking money from there accounts and was very plausible!!!

What i was trying to get at is....Is there anyway that i can find out who actually fill's the position he says he does in the Military?
For example he says he is Captain **** or General ***** are there any list's or websites that have this kind of info?
