Ghosts

Who believes in them and who dosn't?Plus does anyone have any stories that happened to them? And if there is anyone who lives in Dublin, can they tell me if there are any hauted places in Balbriggan or Donabate? I for one believe in ghosts and just about everything else there is out there!

Well Shadow, I've been dead some 34 years now and I'm here chatting to you so I guess I've sort of touched on all parts of your questions...except, that I didn't live in Dublin. I came from IronBridge.

The existence of ghosts (and things connected such as spiritual healing and seances) should be the easiest thing to prove beyond reasonable doubt, especially with today's technology, but nobody ever has.

Maybe I'm cynical, but I really do think it's a load of old tosh!!

Ghost sightings until the 20th Century were due to Delerium Tremens. Thats why no-one sees them anymore

i had a very clear vision in a dream that came true, does that count?? not sure it was dead peeps giving me it but it was incredible to experince and i had a witness to it too

i have seen  lots of spirits their are three of us in our home and we have all seen our previouse dog, maybe just a glimpse ,they tend to draw in around the date of their passing, or special celebrations, ie xmas,birthdays etc,i used to work as a proffesional clairvoyant and have seen many customers departed relations,ghosts are spirits that have either passed tragically and cant come to terms with their fate or spirits that cant leave the material world behind, their must be loads of you out their who have been sat on the settee and thought you saw something you did it wasnt your imagination mullein

Dreams coming through arn't exactly ghosts unless one is giving you a message and still, it is somethig paranormal.

This may be a dry answer but have u tried the local library...they sometimes can direct u to a localman/woman who is a local historian...who would be able to tell u about ur area....which I take is as above.... I'm sure I read a book years go titled...Ghosts in Irish Houses .... and of course u have Banshee stories all around ....so lots of stuff to get ur teeth stuck into.... and of course to answer ur question "yes, I do believe in ghosts/spirits and that some people have the ability to contact them.... too much evidence around.....

Great idea BlueDolphin! I'll try that. I've just started my mid term break and I'll go to the library soon.                 All this talk about ghosts is making me want to look out for them with some of my friends somehwere. Now I even want to go  on the Dublin Ghosts Bus Tours. Altough I couldn't cause I couldn't go into Dublin on my own. Maybe I should ask. Thanks BlueDolphin.

Yes there are such things as spirits.  I don't like to call them ghost.  My Aunt came to visit me after her passing!  I was very young and we were very close and she came to comfort me.  I was very scared a first, but felt a calm come over me once I realized who it was.  I have seen others, but don't know who they are.

An Old Wise Tell:  If you want to contact someone who has passed, write them a letter, fold it 4 times, place it under your bed with a full glass of water on top of it before you go to sleep one night.  In the morning the  glass will be empty and the later will have a response or be missing and the response will come at a later date.

Thank you for mentioning that Couchatta, today, the 29th of Decmber was the date my nanny died and I rarely got to know her, I'm going to do it tonight and I'll respond soon to tell you the news, maybe even every day to people I might know who have passed away.              Did you try it yet?
