Watche d a film soylent green.
Watched another logans run.

CAommon thread in them state sponsored euthanasia .
In one film at the age of 30 when still fit and not a drain on society.
In the other whenever things had got too much you could walk into a center and be helped to expire painlessly.

Should governmenets in future opt for one of these to cut down on healthcare and all other associated cost with old people.

And what age would you think was correct for the euthanasia?

You missed out Wild In the Streets, same theme, i saw Soylant Green when it came out at the cionema and it was quite shocling then, I think it was Charlton Heston actually. Wild In the Streets was Christopher Jones, I have never seent the film but I had the book and read it when I was about 15.

yes, there is a scene where the big shovel is dropped from the recycling machine a crushes one of the stars, I think it was Perry Lopez but not 100% might have been Sal Mineo
