Ghandi's Glasses??

Some rich indian business man has just paid over a million for ghandi's glasses,he should have gone to specsavers!!!

possibly, but i work with several Indian people and they still hold him in the highest regard and talk about him as though they knew him well, it's quite humbling to hear how much they love the man.

yep dot he was a great man, but to pay �1.8 million for his glasses, it would be better if they paid that towards a charity in his name!!!

yes i agree with that puddicat, it's an odd thing to want of his, but maybe there is a reason behind it, something about not wanting them to fall into the wrong hands for fear of exploitation or something, just a thought, it could be they have achieved sacred status i guess.

Yeah To us its a bit too much for an item that we consider not worth the money,but 1.8 millions nothing if your worth a billion or more,That would be a stupid thing to do only if the person that purchased it was only worth 1.9 million! Also paying the money to a charity would'nt be the same as having something that belonged to your hero in a glass case in your house,just like a museum and what a speaking point at dinner parties! There must be something that you would buy that belonged to one of your stars if you was a billionaire and you've done all the ,buying a business,sorting out your family etc..! Well.....what is it?
