Blimey, I have enough people on my Xmas shopping list as it is, without you suggesting others. Anyway, what does one buy a middle-eastern chap who has been dead for a long time?

Because Christmas is nicked from the pagan celebration of the Saternalia, which was characterised by gift giving. The Christian church often used to schmove up to other festivals.

  • It meant there was an audience
  • It got Christianity in by the backdoor.

Hence also why we celebrate Easter at the time of the pagan fertility festivals for spring.

cos he's dead
anyway, he never sends me anything....not like Santa....
Not true beagle. Last year I sent him a Woolworths gift token and a new pair of sandals.

I got him a bike.

Think about it.

I bought him a copy of The Da Vincci Code
