It would appear that there has been more than one civil war!! Now that was new to me too. I would suggest that you try to find out which one it is and rephrase the question hoping your not discovered OR try google it - in the hope that the other sites don't talk back. Good luck.

I think because TCL suggested that it would probably be Anerican or English and I was under the impression that America had 'just the one'. Re: Ireland and the 'troubles' - a working title because it's difficult to name. How does one decide if a particular war is a continuance or indeed 'new'. Is it the issue, the terraine, the protagonists, damage, weapons , length of non-violence between? Who gets to decide, the population, historians, politicians? I really can't support war or armed struggle and history is not my forte. I just visted the site to get a lil bit of education - and I did thank you.
