is very unfair.

That's older men having children. Like Rod Stewart & Paul McCartney They're gunna be dead of old age by the time the kids are 15!

And these stupid women over 50 who have babies; they tire easy & quickly what with a 3 year old hooning around.

It's just not fair on the kids.

I would have agreed with you 30 or 40 years ago but middle age comes so much later these days, and people in their 60s can be just as fit and active as younger people.

People can die at any age, and there are plenty of very unfit youngsters about that struggle to get out of a chair.

How many young people can do what this 80 year old woman does?

Awful lot of generalisations and assumptions there huh? ;-)

You're assuming that the likes of Macca and co will be deads by the time their children are 15? (dare I say that at least the kids will be rich? or is that too tacky?)

And I know plenty of 50 year olds who have far more energy and often more love to give than any 20 year old.

Agreed, Ethel.

But the fact remains.

As agile as these people are, they will die of old age when their children as still VERY young.
Question Author
No, BOO.

Just facts.

people die young also what do those children do. As long as they are loved then I dont care what age the parents are
How can you say that women over 50 "tire easily", when I've already said that I know women of that age with far more energy than alot of 20 year olds?

Granted both of our points are our own observations, but they are just that- observations, not facts.

WUMMING?

Is that something rude?
Question Author
It is selfish to have children at such an advanced age when you know you'll be depriving them of their parents/s at such a young age.

This is interesting.................

No, I'm not winding anyone up.

I truly believe this.

Ahhh, thank you jno (how's the travels by the way?) and Vibra, that's a new one!

I don't know if MWB is supposed to be anyone else, never really given it much thought?

As for Riddick, that names familiar, not the awful Van Diesel films is it? If it is, not really interested, not really into 'shoot 'em up' games.

And that's great, BOO.

But again; the mother will be dead of normal old age when the child is very young.
I was delighted when we had our children that my mother (a stupid woman over 50) was able to look after them for many years.

Also bear in mind that a lot of women still have a natural childbearing capacity at 50!!!!!

There is no guarantee that mothers are going to last the duration of the kids life anyway.

I do believe however more thought should be put into partenthood - you need a licence to drive a car, permit for a gun but what the hell anyone can parent!!!
