The song by The Beatles has a man near the end of the song stating "Paul is really dead." Connecting to the Paul McCartney death hoax, but what did they actually mean by it? And why did they put it in the song?

Loads of conspiracy theories abound about Paul's 'death' from various sources.

One of the daftest ones is people pointing to the regisntration number of the VW Beetle which can be seen on the 'Abbey Road' Cover - 28IF. People said it confirmed that McCartney would have been twenty-eight "if he had lived ...". Simple fact is, the car belonged to someone who worked in the area, they parked there every day, so obviously the car was there when the picture was taken. The person had no connection to the band, the studios, the photographer - or the damned silly 'Paul Is Dead' myth!

The theory actually goes that it's Lennon saying 'I buried Paul'.

The reality is that it's Lennon (according to McCartney) saying 'Cranberry sauce', for no other reason than because that's the kind of random thing Lennon would say.

If you listen to it, it sounds nothing like 'I buried Paul', and alot like 'Cranberry sauce'.
