Wondering about Americas (Mexico)
I have always wondered why Mexico has never been invaded or taken over by other countries, it would seem to be a good political move by any adversaries of the Western world, they could batter the U. S. here and there along the borders, I hope I don't give them ideas.

Name an "adversary of the Western world" who would think it advantageous to amass a great land army, transport it thousands of miles across land and ocean to attack the neighbour of the USA (without US retaliation) in the hope that they could attain a base of operations to take pot-shots at the Southern states.
the Russians tried to place nuclear missiles in Cuba in 1962, which nearly triggered WW3. I doubt the White House would stand by while all of Mexico was taken over.
