pagan weddings
5 Answers
We are a couple of pagans wishing to have a traditional pagan wedding ceremony. We live in north nottinghamshire. We dont know where to start and need advice on who to ask to conduct the ceremony and what is needed etc for a pagan wedding. We are planning on a lawful marriage in a registry office prior to the pagan wedding so the legalities are covered beforehand.Any suggestions of whom where or when would be much appreciated.

if you're part of a group/coven i'd suggest your high priest and priestess as celebrant. If not, you can have a ' self- celebrated' handfasting; or if you have kids your child could celebrate (i know, sounds odd but it's a lovely touch)
as to where - my suggestion is outdoors, possibly a forest, stone circle?

Also, when... It's coming up to the solstice, and that's a great time but can be cold and wet outdoors. The ideal time would (imho) be either Imbolg, Lughnasadh or most ideal, Bealtaine.
Congrats!
