The reviews seem to be phenomenal almost giving it a godlike status and it seems to be a scots drink?

Any scots around to help with this?

Redhelen so its just one of those cheap and cheerful rocket fuel drank by the younger generatios as we used to drink cheap cider and md20/20?
Well taste Mmmmm when your a teenager i suppose although i used to drink it and went of it ,many of my friends still drink it ,don't know why it is disgusting ,yeah some people put their agression problems down to drinking it but i think there is more to it ,the wine itself gets the blame for the thefts ,the murders and so on,it is drank all over lanarkshire
where they have to fill big fridges up at least twice a night ,full of the stuff (no lie) i used to fill them and i never stayed in c/bridge where they drink even more lol
it is mingin stuff, and is very popular( yes god like status) among mostly the youth and lower classes of Scots. it is known as Buckie or tonic round here

Cheers folk!

I have never tasted it but people who have say it is pretty foul stuff. It is favoured by winos and teenage yobs who need to get drunk cheaply.
It has about the equivalent of caffiene in 10 cans of coke but is 15% alcohol and not cheap at around £6 a bottle.

Ah yes, the "buckie".

Loathsome stuff, but it certainly "gets you there... These things come and go - for a few years it was Merrydown Cider, and a few years before that Carlsberg Special Brew was the tipple of choice of the discerning teen / wino...

As a kid i myself drank tennants super, strongbow super, white/lighting/ace/dragon etc....kestrel super, crest super (10%) tuborgs gold label beer and the king of them all Carlsbergs Special Brew, which we used to call rather aptly "Fight in a can"

Wasn't it called 'electric soup'? I think it was strong and fairly cheap.
My tipple was a pint of draught sherry from the offy, in a tizer bottle of course. I've not touched it since:-(
I always though "tonic" wine was supposed to be for us elderly types, which reminds me, I must try them sometime. And folk here are suggesting it's cool amongst the yoof ?!? Wow, whatever next !
i wouldn't say it's cool and it certainly isn't cheap ! it used to be when i was a teenager but now it is quite expensive but people still buy it ! and it is disgusting ,i drank enough of it to know lol ,oh by the way i am not a wino i don't drink very often the last time i had a decent drink was may 2009 when i was out with my pals back home ,i don't like drinking in the house and haven't since 2005
