West Palms beach resort, Altinkum, Turkey (Thomson Holidays) - review/tips?

My husband and I have booked up to go to West Palms beach resort, Altinkum, Turkey (Thomson Holidays) the first two weeks in July (2010) with friends. We will be staying in one of the 'bungalows', all inclusive deal.

I have been told the temperature will be high - any tips for me staying cool? I am fair skinned and find I cannot stay in sun/heat for long.

Anyone been to the resort to give us any tips?

Anyone gone on day excursions?

My husband and I have usually gone on holiday to hot countries during our winter time when it is cooler e.g. Egypt. This is the first time travelling when temperatures will be high in a country. We thought the idea of going with friends would be different and give us a little bit more socialising at night. We are in our 50s.

Has zacs has stated...Wide brimmed hat, plenty of shade, very high sun screen,plenty of bottled water.It will be very hot as you are fair skinned like myself make sure you keep your sun lotion topped up [not just one coating] Enjoy you hols,evenings were the best time for me.
