you know very well which moonwalk i mean Justincider. Reading some of the posts about remembering these events,I recall I was watching 9/11 at my nieces, at first we thought it was just a terrible accident untill the second tower was hit. It was awfull knowing that we were watching people die and that we still just sat there and watched it happen
fall of the Berlin Wall, 50 years of history erased. I went and cut myself a chunk of it.
Hi everybody, long time no see! :o)

The 3 that come to mind are:

Boxing Day Tsunami
9/11
Collapse of communism in the Eastern Block countries and execution of Ceausescu.

But then again there are others like death of Diana, Mandela's release, Falklands War, 7/7 bombings, '87 hurricane, Yugoslavia split and loads more.

JKF
The first moon landing
September 11th

Yes there are plenty more, including Hillsborough, which is the the most personal for me as I was there, but I think that the three I've put are/were bigger worldwide.
munich 1958
jfk
twin towers
9/11 (although I do remember where I was for 7/7, but I work in London)
Princess Diana
the Beslan school hostage situation.. it just haunts me.
wow.. good question Justincider!

also, the birth of Louise Brown, the first test tube baby.
Lockerbie
Dunblane
9/11
The release of the Guildford Four and the Birmingham Six......(Maguire Seven)
Death of J F K
Aberfan disaster
Twin Towers
Tsunami

I cannot choose 3 from this 4 as they have equal memories for me
I dont think anyone has mentioned the Millenium (1999 to 2000).

There was huge media interest in this before and during the event, with the added spice of the possible millenium bug.

However I think it was all soon forgotten.
Moon walk
2 Towers
Berlin wall
as i am from liverpool, and was a schoolfriend of someone who died there, i'd say hillsborough was big for me...especially today...

not sure of the others at the moment
