What is a "Dry House'?

I have seen a property advertised as incorporating a tower-shaped, 300-year-old, 'dry house.' Can anyone explain what this is, please? I was wondering whether it might be something to do with brewing like, maybe, an oast house? I am intrgued to know... Thanks.
