What is the point of doing a quiz when you are asking most of the questions on AB?  The answer to this is 'googleable'. By asking the questions verbatim (and so early on in the quiz like you did last week), anyone searching on the net is pointed to AB and any answers that people give, when they may want to actually find an answer for themselves.

oarsman / loobylou.  AB is a site for the questioning and answering of cold hard facts, the sharing of knowledge.  Whilst you may think that answers to quizzes should be self-researched, egordon has every right to ask their question on this Q&A site.  Please don't try to scare people off with your hand-bags at dawn, it just makes you look silly.  If you don't like the question, then don't enter the thread.  Complain to the AB Ed if you feel that strongly about peoples use of this free knowledge sharing website.

egordon, the quizzes and puzzles section is more appropriate for your question, but Oman, has an ornate horses bit on it's national flag.

Egordon - I don't wish to 'fall out' with you or anyone and apologise if I have upset you. You are  of course free to ask whatever questions you like within the boundaries of the rules of AB.  My point of view was  that to ask questions so soon after receiving the quiz would spoil the 'fun??' for others who do the same quiz as anyone 'googling' is pointed to AB.  (Yes, we can ignore the link but I bet not many of us do).  I have asked questions myself, when the closing date is looming, when all other avenues fail,  but try, if possible,  to put the question in a different format to avoid the above.
