After having a VERY SENIOR moment and posting this question in History first here goes. We had a water fitted today and wonder what the average daily water consumption would be for 2. The meter is in cu metre's so being a wrinklie is a bit foreign to me. Thanks for any help in advance
The Consumer Council for Water quotes 110 cubic metres per year as the average consumption for a 2-person household, so that's roughly a third of a cubic metre per day:

we had a water meter fitted in february this year. himself keeps a check on our consumption and reckons we use about 250 litres per day, which is 0.25 cubic metres. at this rate we reckon we'll save ourselves between £400-£500 a year - not bad i think :)
Prior to the meter being fitted our bill was about £450 a year. In our particular area the water bill is split into 2. Portsmouth water (£105 yearly) supplies the tap water and Southern water £330 yearly)the sewage so this is the one hopefully the savings will come from.
Most days I work in your area BJS... I am often asked if a meter would be cheaper than the unmetered £450 annual charge.
If there are more bedrooms in your house than people check out about having a meter. Have a look here.

...and your cubic metres...there are 220 gallons in a cubic metre ...so about four baths eqaul a cubic metre ... in simple terms.
