I just downloaded My Heritage.com because I thought I could do my Family Tree on line for free. Its not easy though and I decided to uninstall the programme. However when I go into control panel and scroll down 'uninstall a programme' it isn't there, so I can't uninstall it. And now when I open Mozilla firefox it seems to have taken over and a My Heritage page comes up instead of my Mozilla page. how can I get rid of it ? I have windows 7. Not technical by the way so easy answers. Thanks all.

it sounds like you haven't downloaded anything, but you've (somehow) changed your homepage.

find the page you want as your homepage, then open "tools" (on the top row), "options" "general" then "use current page".

sara how do I find the page i want as my home page ?
If you go to tools > internet options you should find there the options for home page. Don't forget to put http://www.bbc.co.uk (or whatever).
that is, you need the http:// - not just www
Edit->Preferences->General is where you change your homepage on Firefox.

// how do I find the page i want as my home page //

Only you can answer that!
What do you normally have for your home page?
