I was wondering if the government were to offer, as they did in the 1960's, the chance to emigrate to Australia for example, how many people would pay their money ( £10.- todays equivalent - £153) take the family and go. I am sure the rules are very much stricter now and it is quite likely we would not be wanted abroad, but it would be interesting to know what percentage of today's population would be tempted.
