I have to remember I'm not on AB.....

Does anyone else find that after a while on AB, the banter starts intruding on real life? Three things happened today:
1. Our office cleaners left a note in the kitchen and someone was ill-mannered enough to pass comment on their grammar (by scrawling on the notice). It was so unnecessary - then I saw that someone else had inked "some people are very rude" and a big arrow towards that comment. I would love to have added a MarkRae type comment but I reined myself in.
2. A bloke had a niggle at me for putting "attached" instead of "below" in an email. (He was right.) Being nice I thanked him for putting me right, but I so much wanted to say to him "jeez, don't you have anything better to do that pick me up on an error?" as I might have on here...
3. Someone's just left me a message on eBay in textspeak and ended up LOL.... so tempting to write back in the same vein, but I didn't.
I have to remember the context.... anyone else fallen foul of AB-speak when in a different setting?

Well, one or twice I've exclaimed "What the funicular!!"
I've had to stop myself from saying LOL in real life a few times!
and I've said "fluffing" :o/

but... I also look for the "like" button next to comments on here, a la Facebook!
"fluff orf" is favorite
oh, I've also seen "ummm" written down and thought "that should have 4 m's"!
A couple of weeks ago, during an altercation with a rather silly young checkout girl at my local supermarket, I found myself incautiously exclaiming, "Look, pet, I can only deal with one Molly at a time!"
I have almost said lol when someone has said something amusing. And today I was thinking about someones thread last night (no names) I kept thinking what an ar&e I got quite preoccupied with it.

LOL @ mike, that's a good 'un!
Oh, and there was a person at work who has a habit of calling people Chuck (as in the northern manner) and I kept finding myself turning round and nearly answering her when she said it to anyone!!

"I am not Boxy, I am not Boxy"....
I'm not Masie either...but if someone said it, I'm sure I would turn round
and using fluff or fluffing on here makes me read everything twice now..... i have had to stop myself saying lol a few times. i would love to be in chuck's office though i would have so much fun....
I answered an email from my (lovely but straitlaced) boss at work before I retired and put PMSL in it. She is Swedish and asked me what it meant.
DOH! this is realality isn't it,another illusion woowind
Conversely there is a user on here with my real name........I have to stop myself typing replies when people post to her.....
Same here Craft! Have to stop and think hard.

I am quite fond of Lottie though, she has grown on me. I am sure I would turn round and stop if someone called 'Lottie' out in the street.
Same applies to Lofty! ;o)
I answer to Dris all the time now -all the pals I have from here call me Dris when i meet them.
How weird to have somone with your own name craft -who did you say it was again?:P
Chucks is a classic-how do you explain that one away lol
Dris I originally tried to join with my own name.......luckily I couldn't.
After someone has said something amusing I worry that I accidentally say lol without realising! Also; didn't know what a funicular was until i just thought to check; makes me want to use it in real life! Also; have often thought that a discussion I've had on here actually happened in real life and have racked my brains to think who it was before remembering where it was!
