Do you mean while her mum was alive or after her mum had died?
PS- have you had chance to consider my other answers and my requests for clarification on your questions?
Considering that Queen Elizabeth I was only 3 when her Mother was executed, she didn't really have much personal experience of her parent.
Much of Elizabeth's views of Anne Boleyn were taken from what she heard (mainly from her biased Father) and his courtiers, who would say anything to keep in with Henry. After Anne's execution her name was basically taboo, and she was not spoken of,a difficult state for a 3 year old child(not that Elizabeth really knew her Mother much anyway)
After Anne died Elizabeth soon learnt to keep her own counsel, and to keep her head down(and not off!LOL)It wasn't until after Mary Tudor died and she became Queen that she could allow herself speak her own mind.
She very rarely referred to Anne in her lifetime,BUT was known to "prickle" if anyone mentioned her,or disparaged Anne at all.
Anne's execution (aged 35) is often given as the reason the Elizabeth would not subject herself to any man.
So,basically I believe that Elizabeth though very rarely of Anne, and if and when she did she kept it to herself(even when she was Queen).
Splendid answer, Invictas. Elizabeth was a shrewd cookie. Who can possibly know the intimacies of a human mind at such a long remove ? But she did right in keeping her head well below the parapet at a time when deadly intrigue and counter intrigue were the order of the day.
Elizabeth had a narrow escape. When imprisoned in the Tower a warrant for her execution was delivered, unbeknown to Queen Mary. Fortunately the governor noticed that it had not been signed by the Queen so refused to act upon it.
Brilliant answer Invictas. I've read a few biographies and it sounds pretty much spot on.
I'm sure puzzleking123 is extremely grateful for all our help.
That she wasn't a great cook perhaps?
