("REMITTANCE OF $25.8 MILLION U.S.A DOLLARS") (CONFIDENTIAL IS THE CASE").

I am Dr Raji Fazal from Burkina Faso. I want to seek your assistance after my discovery during auditing in my bank as am the manager of Bill and Exchange at the Foreign Remittance Department of BANK OF AFRICA, (B.O.A.). In my department we discovered an abandoned sum of USD$25.8 million US dollars in an account that belongs to one of our foreign customers who died along with his entire family in plane Crash 2003.

It is therefore upon this discovery that I decided as the head of my department to make this business proposal to you and release the money to you as the next of kin or relation to the deceased for safety and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it and i don't want this money to go into the Bank treasury as unclaimed bills.

You should not nurse any atom of fear as all required arrangements have been made for the smooth transfer of this funds and your acceptance is what will crown this effort.

We will conclude this operation within 21 banking days based on the amount of cooperation you will contribute. The fund will be shared in the ratio of 40% will be for you as a foreign partner, 60% will be for me. Thank you for your understanding as i await your urgent response to enable me give you more details don't forget to give me those information below to enable me know you very well before we can go ahead in this business/project

Your International passport or ID card.......
Your private telephone number................
Your profession..............................
Your age.....................................
Your country.................................

Kind Regards,
Dr Raji Fazal.

They must get a certain amount of positive answers or they would not go on with this load of old codswallop. But how can you stop them, they seem to be proliferating.

I like the "60% is for me" offer. I think you're right, starbuck, one taker makes it worth their while!
I find it hard to believe that there are people who are stupid enough to send their details, but these scammers keep sending these out so there must be.
Isn't Ouagadougou a great name.....been there and the city isn't as great as its name though.

I also love "Bujumbura" (Burundi) - rather nice location at the top of Lake Tanganyika in the Rift valley with high mountains on either side of the lake. At the airport there was a Air Mozambique 747 stranded there after an emergency touch down - but the runway wasn't long enough to get it airborne again.....

This one isn't actually asking for bank account - they send the money by thought transmission....
there was an old guy featured on a show on the bbc who despite losing thousands continued to believe in these scam mails and kept replying to them. He seemed nice enough but needed to wise up desperately
How do you pronounce that name, DT?

your passport can be valuable in the wrong hands.

Ask Mossad.

Every single day I get one of these (but only one) in my spam box. They come from Nigeria or othe African countries, an ex-soldier in Iraq, the Eastern Bloc and one even claimed to be from my county in the UK (although the email address was Hungarian).
But what I don't understand is why each day I only ever get one. Are they all coming from one place so they can control the distribution?

It's the same with bank scamming letters telling my internet banking details need to be resubmitted to HSBC or Lloyds etc. I get one each day- but only one, never two.
pronounced Wagga-do-goo - the other Beuj-umm-boo-ra
Thanks Boxy. How are you? Not seen your name pop up on here for a bit. Everything ok?

Ahem, is that where they got the idea for Agadoo from....?

factor, I get bank scams in clumps, four or five some days from different "banks", then none for weeks.

Hi Society - we were away for a week, thank you for asking!
DT, now that pronunciation makes me think of a dog. :-)
Good name for a dog actually! Though I prefer the one from that Scottish series Monarch of the Glen......."Useless".
I get 6 a day of these,I ought to be a multi billionaire by now.
I have sent my application for the promised 40%, so if you would like to send me your bank acc No's & sort code I am quite happy to share with you all. Please however take your time replying as I am not quite ready for the rush of applications. Ron.
Has anyone ever tried sending funny answers like Mickey Mouse and 10 Downing Street or (looking at the example above) age 2,000 profession hitman. There must be a lot of funny answers people can come up with.
