Unfamiliar Law Terms
Dear Folks,
I realise this messageboard is more to do with money & finance etc, however I would like some help & answers in plain English, not lawyer speak
I got a letter back from the solicitor and am unsure of some terms. Please can anyone give me a brief explanation of any of the following:
enforcement action
enforcement steps
judgement
powers of attorney
Many thanks in advance for your help and your time
Kindest regards
Mitchell

Enforcement steps are the steps necessary to enforce the order, e.g the steps may be 1. complaint 2. solicitor contacts the court 3. court makes a new order 4 bailiffs take the order and enforce the action against you
judgement - the order decided on or decision made by the court/judge or magistrate etc
powers of attorney - making a legal document so that someone else can act on your behalf as though you, this power is as binding as though you did something yourself.
