I have a double-glazed exterior door from my kitchen, but it won't open. the lock seems fine, locks and unlocks okay, and I can see all 3 lock thingies are retracting properly. it opens about 1cm, then seems to hit something. I've studied the edges and can't see anything blocking it, so I assume it's shifted on its hinges a bit? maybe??
it's been making a bit of a screeching noise for a long time (only on opening and closing!), from the bottom edge.. I think it's been scraping against its frame.
a screw had come out of the plate where the lock mechanism pops out (sorry, not v technical), and was hanging out of the plate, trapping the door in its frame. I managed to wedge it back enough for the door to open, tightened the screw (and the others that moved) and it's all sorted.
thanks to all for your advice and support in my (latest) crisis! xxx

it still needs toe & heeling to stop ^ that, or if there is enough adjustment in the hinges, then adjust them.
I know it's wobbly, my hands were (and still are) shaking after wielding a heavy hedge trimmer yesterday! and it was difficult enough with the touchpad on the lappy!
I can't be arsed to try to change it now, so don't tell everyone it looks like a beard!
