patio grouting
4 Answers
I recently relaid my patio. I now want to grout the gaps between the slabs with a sand/cement mixture. I have been I should use a dry mix of sharp sand/cement but sharp sand always seems to be slightly damp/moist when bought from DIY outlets. Is sharp sand the correct type of sand to use?

Do not go down the mix it dry and brush it in route, it will not last. It is a tedious job to do but will bring your patio together - you can finish joints with a pointing iron like this

Also some mates have used pointing guns like this with some success - I would use soft (builders) sand then
