I have bought a multipurpose ladder from a shopping channel. It looked great on first arrival.I used it 4 or 5 times when one of the hinges malfunctioned.
I sent it back and got another one but the exact same thing happened.I closely examined the hinge this time and was surprised at how poor the
design is.It is also quite shaky when it is out full out.I am now thinking they are dangerous.Has anybody any experience Yor thoughts appreciated. It extends to 4.7 m Regards James
"Unfit for purpose" is the phrase I think, jjammers.
I'm not sure about multi-purpose ladders, but "proper" ladders should be classed ..................
Class 3 ............ DIY, usually awful, but ok once or twice a year
Class 2 ............ Pukka enough for trade use
Class 1 ............ Double pukka ...... as used by hire companies.
yea call trading standards and tell them it is dangerous, I did the same with a woolworths jigsaw when the cooling fan showed signs of shattering on first use
