My nephew has asked the best place to buy one - he has some "hand me downs" from various members of family, but wants to buy something new. Anyone got advice which route he needs to go down, Argos, Halfords & Screwfix are the only ones I can think of.
Quality needs to be DIY

Any other brands/ suppliers that you can think of

Trim - was just asking for advice about middle of range kit suppliers - sure he can buy it in bits or borrow, I was really asking what is best price / quality ratio supplier of these kits, whether you spend £100 or £500

D97 - sure he will get himself something there - thanx for link
Let him buy things as and when he finds he needs them, and to shop around each time. (Don't forget eBay).
You can get kits and boxes in Homebase and B&Q, starter-type kits.
Don't skimp on quality even for DIY. Good tools will last a lifetime and
much easier to work with.
