My windows doors etc are stained wood. I find that after i have washed them they come up beautifully if i use Mr Sheen spray polish and they stay clean a lot longer because dust rain etc slides off them. I s this detrimental to the stain and will it make restaining difficult, in other words is it a good thing to do? thanks Janet x

I guess the woodwork would have to be well rubbed down, maybe with wire wool and white spirit to make the surface suitable for staining again. If something like "Sadolin" is used, rainwater should run off that just as well.
Your only alternative, I'm afraid, is to keep waxing!
