I have a Alpha boiler C27 and over the last few days the red light keeps coming on meaning that the bolier isnt working. But when I reset it manually sometimes it will work for hours (sometimes days) or it will just keep going off.

Over the last few days we have been experiencing really strong winds and the boiler is located in the loft? Could this be that the pilot light is blowing out perhaps?

dont think it actually has pilot light, modern boilers are fired electonically,

No .. but the draught across the flue terminal can affect the burn and knock off the safety latching on the burner.
Is the flue vertical out of the roof through a flashing slate .. or horizontal through a gable?
What is terminal like? Saucepan with side grille? Or just square with side grillles?
If vertical, is the end of terminal 1/2M above roof?

I have a manual.
