Will soon be doing the kitchen up, and am thinking of gloss laminate flooring (which would continue on into hall). I'm just wondering though would anyone recommend it, or is it likely to scratch easily? Many thanks in anticipation.

look carefully into the care instructions...
The finish they use on good quality flooring tends to be quite bomb-proof. I've made kitchen worktops with it in the past. It takes a lot of wear. :o)

I'd go with semi-gloss or satin finish. That's only my taste though. I think full gloss is rather too "in your face".
Hi We have semi gloss, we have no problems, as for our "Rough Collie" I have entered her into "Dancing On Ice" it is rather amusing but she dosn't find it funny.I think the High Glos would be rather dangerous with mats and stuf.
in a mo, It can also result in injuries for the dog....maybe not so funny?
I thought that there was better quality flooring for kitchens, as they tend to get wet. We had some ordinary gloss laminate that got wet and it buckled, I think most packs have suitability of use printed on them, but i must say we have glossy flooring in the lounge, we have been here 7 years and it looks as good as the day we moved in, lovely when the sun shines through the window, brightens up the whole room and looks very posh.
