Warranty on electrical goods

Just want to know is it necessary to take shop warranty on electric goods. I want to buy Fridge Freezer and have seen one that I like but talking with the salesperson encouraging me to take out warranty, advice appreciated please.

Never buy and extended warranty. They never pay out anyway and with modern goods if they last the manufacturer s guarantee then they'll go on and on. It always makes me luagh when the sales person tells you how wonderful the item is, then when you agree to buy they have to try and sell you an exetended warranty. If you want to take out an extended warranty, shop around on the internet for the best price. I get really annoyed when I buy something, only to told about extended warranties. They are a big con and are pushed because of commission for the sales staff. When I buy something like you have described, I make a point of saying that I don't want an extended warranty before they get a chance to ask!
