I'd have thought most plastic cables were weatherproof, resistant at least, but one normally lays them in a pipe of some sort. Surely if you had used pyrotenax you need something fire resistant still ?
I guess it's for an ordinary fire or emergency lighting situation joe?

Pyrotenax is still available. Also other mineral cables.
Also an alternative...

You should be able to replace it easily enough.

Thank you. I have a cable along my gardedn wall to a brick built worshop which is now withour power due to a fakty cable. It does not need to be fireproof and I have lived in thi9s house for 40 years and this cable was here when we arrived. As Portsmouth was then very much a naval base I can only guess on the origin of the installation. I dont neee a fire proof cable so I will look around the local supplies.
Ah, shipyards........ that would explain it. Used a lot there.
In your case just go for ordinary armoured cable, available from any Electrical Trade place.
