I have had the above unit for several years but seldom used mainly because there is a bad leak from the front of it also when all systems are go and the trigger isn't depressed the motor keeps "shunting" Because of the amount of water leakage it's difficult to determine where the leak is coming from. Can someone suggest what and where the likely cause is please? Thanks

Hi CW, there is another possibility?
If you have had the washer for a number of years then it is quite possible that the washer was stored in a garage or outer building with water still in the pump which froze solid during the winter and it split the internal pump, which, years ago were made of plastic. I think later ones are possibly made of steel because of the possibility of freezing.
The motor will keep working if the pump is leaking due to a reducing pressure in the pump.
You could check for replacement parts but whether a metal pump will fit the same as a plastic one????? You will have to ask the supplier.
