Anyone know of a good product which will restore whiteness to clothes? I have a favourite white pure cotton skirt I have had for years but is now rather dingy looking. Many thanks.

Try a couple of washes with 'Glo White' super whitener, from any supermarket. And stick the item in your freezer overnight.(Yes, really! Hanging out cotton sheets to freeze on a frosty day was an old trick for getting them back to white).

Thanks Heath - have never heard that tip before - will certainly try it!
I always pop a dose of Napisan into my white wash - you get it at the Baby section in the supermarket it's meant to be for keeping nappies white but it works on most white things

Soak your linen in a bowl/bucket a few hours. Wash as normal and hey presto whiter than white.

I always use it on my tea towels and love to see them snow white on the line. Nothing worse than manky once white washing.
