Replacement Boiler Costs

Can anyone give me a ball park figure for the above - fitting an A rated condensing boiler replacing a knackered old one!

Usually around 2 to 3 thousand, depending on how much other work has to be done at the same time.

Or, 5 thousand if quoted by British Gas :o(

Just replaced mine. Now got and Ideal logic 18. Also 3 way valve, room thermostat and timer replaced. Got 2 quotes, both around £2,000

I had a new boiler and hot water tank from Britiish Gas last July and it cost £2,900.

We've just had a brand new combined boiler fitted for £900...
...but these guys only work within around 100 miles.......

I had a valliant fitted last year. Just under £3,000

Replaced our boiler last month.
The Worcester Bosch 18i boiler and control kit cost me £980 ... brother inlaw fitted it for a chinese meal and as many beers as he could drink.
I did the labouring.
Spent about another £100 on materials... and wished I'd done it years ago.

Thank all for your input - had a 'senior' moment - I'd forgotten my son in law is a gas engineer/plumber ! He's doing it for £999 - Bargain !
