My holiday static has a 13 amp socket situated 6 inch above a central heating radiator. It's in the spare bedroom and I use it to plug in my MiFi broadband adapter. We have had the CH on lately especially early morning and I have noticed that the plug gets very warm, which is to be expected
Question is do you think it's safe to use this socket.I do make sure that the cable is well clear of the radiator.

I wouldn't have thought that it would be very problematic whistonian, although this arrangement sounds far from ideal. Its the same in my touring 'van. But I would keep an eye on it and not leave anything plugged in when it is not needed, and I would certainly take the plug out when you vacate the 'van, even for a short time.

Cheers mikey, Yes i actually remove all plugs when we vacate the van. However I think I will play safe and plug the MiFi elsewhere.
What's the difference between a static caravan and a tourer? A static takes longer to burn:-)
Oh dear carrust...don't say that ! I am preparing to spend December in my lovely little medium-sized 'van in glorious Cornwall, like I usually do. Proper Pasty for Xmas Lunch !
